This is a really quaint caravan park and the owner manager is a REALLY top bloke.
On our trip from Perth to Hervey Bay in '07 there was a gale warning right along the S.A. coast. We were due to stop at Port Augusta but as the wind was becoming cyclonic and the rain was torrential we decided to head inland and find somewhere to camp.
As we came into the township of Orroroo the wind had definitely turned cyclonic and it was raining sideways. As we only had the camper trailer we thought we were going to be in for an interesting night.
However, the manager offered us a cabin but we had to mention we had our greyhound with us.
"Not a prob, he's house trained isn't he?"
We were totally gob-smacked! The whole night was very blistery and
COLD!!! But we were nice and snug in the cabin and the dog was happy to.
It is a fairly basic park but we intend to go back there again on our
return trip to Perth and spend a few more nights there. Now we have a caravan it won't matter if we get a cabin or not.
