New Van

OK ... after much looking ... and about 18months of searching ... the good wife and I have finally chosen our new van.

Quick stats:

16ft6" full van
twin axle (coil suspension)
cut-a-way rear
stone guard
twin AGM batts with c-tek charger
twin roof hatches
outside shower
Gal floor
DO35 hitch

We also decided to go for a compressor fridge as the gas one has a habit of warming up the vege's in summertime even around here. Take it north and vege's just rot.

Went for single beds too as a double bed adds an extra 350mm to the length of the van so the same van with a double bed was going to be nearly 18ft so we decided to opt for the singles which gives us a shorter van which is much better for towing in te bush ... Fraser too!!! Dinette folds down to make another bed.

Here's some pics of what it will look like ...

First pic is a 17ft6" full van ... lop 300mm off the back and that's ours basically.



The next pics are of a 16ft6" van with twin axles ... this is a pop top so not entirely accurate but other than that it gi ves you an idea of what we're getting.







Now I just have to be patient and wait until October for the thing to be finished.

Very nice mate would love something like that. Is it being built here in Melb? Mmmmm I could deliver it Damn that would be shame if I had to come up there again, you know its a tuff job but someone has to do it

I have just volunteered my self as a your co driver...Just not sure how i will get down there first..lol

Not a prob Col we'll go the long way round I mean up, we errrrmmm might take a week or 2 to get it there Scol. Ummm it er is a long way
