S-Bend Caravan Park is the typical 'fisho's' caravan Park. It
certainly isn't a 5 star resort but if you like a spot of fishing
over a 3-4 day period then this might be for you.
A new toilet/ shower facility was added last year and it is certainly
gentle on the eyes. The toilets themselves are ok but the male ones
did smell a bit.
The camper kitchen is a tin roof with no walls but the two very clean bbq's are enclosed on three sides by tin walls which are needed as
this place can get VERY windy.
If you have a quad bike this is a great place as the manager is happy
for you to ride down the back track to the beach. Most of the
permanent residents there have quad bikes so if you ask them nicely
they may even part with some info on riding locations.
There is adequate shade so long as you are camping at the back (which is where most ppl do camp ... the front is for overnight bays).
Pets are welcome and there is a good exercise area at the rear of the park.
An added bonus with this park is a pool table (free to use) in the
'hanger' out the back.
Besides fishing there isn't a great deal to do. If you have a family
but sitll want to camp within the Greenough area then maybe the
Rivermouth Caravan Park is for you as it is only minutes to Geraldton. We spent seven nights at S Bend but next time we will try the Rivermouth as our son became quite bored after a few days.
