Laughing  believe me mate wasn't easy. thankfully I cut the big holes first which was 2 x 86mm overlapping holes Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked .This allowed me to check the mounting holes and realised they weren't right before drilling. I can tell you mate pouring into your guard with a 86mm holesaw is not a thing I want to do too often. I already had the wreckers on speed dial for a new guard. I wasn't very confident doing this one as all the other snorkels I have fitted were safari, airflow etc with trusted templates instead of the crap template they sent with it.
Very nerve racking I can tell you No

Ditto to Ron!

I ant a LR tank fitted to my cruiser but because the tank has to go where the spare tyre is I need a swing-a-way tyre carrier like yours. I have to pay people to do it ... grrrr ... so my LR tank costs $4k. Oh well ...  Rolling Eyes

Cheers ...

They are expensive new mate, quoted $1600. I paid $450 for it secondhand. It was a lot of mucking around like bumper and towbar removal but the fitting was fairly easy. Was nerve racking working out where to drill the holes in the bumper though. I'm now after a left side one to convert into jerry can holders. Watch this space lol

I'm not sure if I am going to get a new vehicle or not so am waiting to see what happens over the next few months. If I get a new vehicle then I will get a LR tank fitted otherwise I may get one fitted in the cruiser. Who knows!?!?!?

Good question!

Am looking at a Disco 4 ... I reckon they are better than the 200 series and same price ... more 'WoW' factor in the interior too. But then again ... I do love my 100 series ... even if she does chew the juice a bit. Decisions decisions!!!

CORGY CRUSHER  Laughing .
Disco 4's supposed to be very good straight out the factory. Was talking to a bloke a while back that had one and reckoned it was V6 twin turbo diesel and pulled like a 600hp kenworth, towed with very little effort. He reckoned it was the bees knees.

Yeah the power and torque is very similar to the 200 series cruiser. It's the same price BUT to me there is more WoW factor for the driver. So seriously looking at it. But then again ... I still LOVE my 100 series ... Very Happy

For me, if it was a choice between the 200 series and SE Disco 4 ... the Disco would win. Toyota need to lift their game if they are to charge a mortgage for a car.

Yeah I agree but one problem is resale Toyota will always win out on brand alone and probably get parts a hell of a lot easier for the yota anywhere

That's the only thing that's bothering me ... BUT ... my 100 series is worth bugger all now. The simple solution is to get a 2nd hand disco. Just not one that was made around the time of the Model T ... Wink

Do they supply the engine? And is it new?

If it was a new engine and you would keep the car for a while I reckon it would be worth it if you wanted to go diesel. I'd rather just buy a new car though ... lol.

VERY expensive then I reckon ... a NEW engine for my old Paj was going to cost $8k fully fitted about 6 years ago. Definitely a new car on the horizon then.

That's the thing mate 25-30g+ for a TD 100 and that's probably 98 model with 300k +. They are so expensive and for say 15g (not that I have it) I've got a live axle (not ifs) TD 105 series. Would be great to do then I would have probably one of the greatest 4wd ever built. Yeah I know I'm dreamin  Laughing
