We went to the Jurien Bay Tourist Park during school holidays (2006)
and found it PACKED.
The overall park was ok ... it has some very nice 4 star cabins which
is ok if that's what you like but we found the powered sites to be
quite small for our camper trailer. Now that our camper has grown (approx. 6mtrs x 5mtrs) I don't beleive it would fit onto the powered sites that are provided there. Even before we had the modifications done we still have to 'poach' a bit of land from the adjacent site in order to place out tent pegs in. After a few days ALL the powered sites were occupied and it was VERY cramped.
That said, if you have a caravan you might find it a decent spot. And as previously mentioned the cabins are very nice if you can afford
that sort of luxury (approx. $100 - $120 per night).
The toilets/ showers were always clean but aren't that flash looking.
There are two campers kitchens; although they are more an 'outdoors' style camper's kitchen in that they are not a seperate room but just a basic undercover area.
One thing that is worth noting is a Jumping Pillow that they have. It
is basically an inflated ballon that kids can jump on. A great way
for the kids to enjoy themselves and probably even a highlight for the young at heart.
We found the staff to be very helpful over any issues we needed to
raise.
Powered sites are $26 - $35 which is a bit pricey for the area. There
is also a 'seventh night free' discount.
Overall the park is ok but I had a real issue with the small powered
sites.
