I spent a few days here in early spring 2007 and loved it.
The park itself is fairly large, particularly down the back. However,
the front part does appear to be a bit congested, probably because
there are some large chalets in this area. Having said that, it still
doesn't detract from the parks ambience.
We were down the back of the park but didn't mind as the spots here
are very spacious complete with the usual water and sullage points.
Our site had a bird's nest right near our kitchen which was a lovely
wake up call in the morning and the chicklets didn't wake us too
early.
There's no pool here but you don't really need one as the ocean is
literally just across the road from the park itself.
The toilets/ shower area are VERY clean and nice ... possibly one of
the nicest in the region.
There is a really nice coffee shop at the park and if you don't feel
like cooking for yourself there is a take away just down the road OR
you can go to the pub for a counter meal. Both places provide a nice
feed and I would certainly recommend them.
There is a bit to do around Woodgate if you have a 4wd but other than
that it might be best just to spend 2-3 nights. We loved it and we're
heading back next week while our son goes on a school camp ... can't
wait!!!
Here's the website with up-to-date park fees.
