| i stumbled on to this site looking for a club to join, i just bought my self a bucket of nuts and bolts to have a bit of fun with, and i'm here to pick your brains on some good 4x4 trips, with camping available, i live just north of brisbane, but my knowledge is not great, i must confess i'm no rally driver, so im looking for easy going type driving i have the basic recovery gear and some knowledge of how to get my self out of trouble, i have a small camper trailor, towed behind a subaru wagon with lift kit. the problem i have with clubs there seems to be to many chiefs and no indians, so i am hoping that some of you die hards will share your knowledge of some of the nicer, but less crowded places around the south east corner of queensland, were the better half and myself, can have a bit of fun and at the end of the day sit by the fire and throw a few tubes down in piece and quiet any help you can give me would be most appreciated p s not much of a school scollar either | |

| G'day and welcome mate. This isn't a 'diehard' site but a very relaxed group of decent blokes with families so I don't think you'll have any probs here ... so long as you like beer you'll fit in well ... Scol. | |

| well guys ya sound like a real happy go lucky bunch of people, as i said earlier, the misses and i use use the state forrest parks, up untill now i have used a camper van 2 wheel drive so i have been limited to were i could go, guys i have heard of easy 4 wheel drive run, at the back of boonah, called condamine gorge apparently there is about 14 very easy river crossing on this run and its supposed to go for about 50klms i was just wondering have any of you guys done this trip, i live at morayfield near caboolture and i agree its a fair hike over the other side of the river, plus the trafic to contend with, i am not into destroying my vehicle, i have a dirt bike to play in the mud and its cheeper to run if any of you fella's need to know any thing about any of the campgrounds around me i will certanly supply the info all my kids have grown and i am now set up in such away that i can pack up and move in a few minutes, i am assuming that most of you lads live on the south side and require a good spot to keep the kids active and out of your hair, peach trees as you know is great for kids, and doesn't break the bank, if i can be of any help only to willing to help | |

| Welcome Toby. They're a good lot, just watch beast, he's a bit different but deep down, he's not a bad chap. Drives a Paj though. He's prepared though, he carries a snatch strap permanently hooked up so Pootrols can tow him around. hehheh | |
